“What do you make of this? A farmer planted seed. As he scattered the seed, some of it fell on the road, and birds ate it. Some fell in the gravel; it sprouted quickly but didn’t put down roots, so when the sun came up it withered just as quickly. Some fell in the weeds; as it came up, it was strangled by the weeds. Some fell on good earth, and produced a harvest beyond his wildest dreams. Are you listening to this? Really listening?” Matthew 13: 3-9
Two weeks of vacation, much of that time spent in the garden; I am so grateful for that time and for the seeds that have fallen on good ground. Everything is bursting forth from a refreshed and refreshing Earth.
And I get to return to church to hear as much as to speak and pray. Tomorrow, we’ll be blessed to have Bruce and Caleb Freeberg with us, seasoning our time of worship with their incredible musical offerings (“bursting forth in song”, as the prophet Isaiah puts it), followed by a potluck luncheon and then… more music. You are most welcome to be part of this time. If you join us for a meal, please consider bringing something to share, and then sit back and hear the music of the spheres… We worship at 10 AM, and the meal and added music will follow as the Spirit moves
Sabbath blessings; we hope to welcome you!
