Why Worship Here

There may be as many different experiences with going to church as there are people. Some people have never been. Some have been and didn’t enjoy it. Some went when they were younger, but got out of the habit. Perhaps you are wondering why go to church in the first place and why go to this church? 

The folks at the United Church of Craftsbury have expressed feeling a sense of belonging here. They have found support, friendship, and love. Some find the music soothes and uplifts them. Others say the prayers comfort and strengthen them. Some find themselves thinking about the sermon throughout the week. Others like to hear God’s Holy Word from the bible and think about how it is relevant in today’s world. Some folks say coming to church grounds them and better prepares them for the week ahead. Others enjoy the chance to visit and see friendly people. When we worship together sometimes we experience things like: peace, joy, renewed hope, and love. Sometimes we cry together and share our disappointments and pain. Sometimes we laugh together...a lot because we like to have fun!
